Fabulous location Service was faultless Dinging experience was very good! Only small fly in the ointment in my opinion, some of the food dishes had too much salt. Apart from that 9/10 and we will certainly be making another overnight stay booking

We stayed after a wedding at Half Moon Farm up the road. The walk doesn't take long and we were lucky that it was a relatively warm night. The beds in the room were really comfortable and the room was spotless. Lovely attention to detail - there was a Nespresso machine in the room and a little personalised note. Shower was lovely! I've given 4 stars as ufortunately they had run out of vegan sausages for the breakfast so we just had mushrooms, spinach, tomato, beans and hash browns. The sausages really would've made a difference! Coffee was great! Very nice open and spacious dining room. Absolutely gorgeous stay - would love to return!

Beautiful accommodation, set on the edge of Hambleton village. The room we had was fantastic, had everything you needed (and wanted!). We had an evening meal here which was really good, breakfasts were cooked fresh to order and were filling for the day ahead. Staff were excellent, we did have one issue (heating went out, not the Finch's fault) and the duty manager quickly had a plumber onsite and provided electric heaters for us to use whilst the issue was resolved.

Parking awful at this pub Asked for a table near the fire in the bar as a very cold day and had my dog with me Extremely unhelpful as several tables became available near fire we were never asked if we would like to move Won’t go again Food ok nothing special

Fabulous stay here. Charming staff. The beer was perfectly kept. Breakfast amazing. I usually like to suggest improvements but this place was just right.

Best chef for miles, I've been eating here for ten years and never had a bad meal, ok it gets busy and occasionally have to wait, with good company and banter I've never noticed the wait. People get too hung up about time. If you treat staff with respect you get so much more out of them ... thankyou staff it doesn't go un noticed , I've listened to them , when people complain. They do care.

Lovely food, but staff not that attentive and at times really looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. Carpark on the small side especially as it's a hotel and pub too.

Marvellous time in this venue.. Having revisited this fine restaurant with friends and family.. We had such and excellent meal, and superb service..

Had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. The bed was super comfortable, friendly welcoming service. The food was amazing I would travel the 3hr journey just for a meal it was that good.

Found broken glass in room. Stayed 2 nights. The room was not cleaned after the 1st night.told the manager and he cleaned the room while we was having dinner and was apologetic. Evening food was very good. Breakfast choice was good if you liked cooked. Continental choice was limited.

Very busy restaurant for a Tuesday evening and I can see why. We had excellent burgers that were really tasty and chips were great too. Delicious pistachio pana cotta and a yummy tart for pud. Lovely atmosphere and very nice, pleasant, courteous young staff. A non alcoholic drink each and one cappuccino. £65 altogether for 2 people, 2 courses. excellent value for the quality. Highly recommend and thank you for a lovely evening 😊

I'm struggling with this review, as the pub is a really nice peaceful place to go, and the staff were lovely and very helpful... so the negative part of this is solely to do with the food. £19 for a chicken caesar(?) salad!!, which was the smallest (and most expensive) main course caesar I have ever had. As a salad, it was quite nice, but a caesar salad it definitely wasn't... the dressing tasted of just mayo, nothing else! There were whole anchovies on the lettuce, and some croutons, and the bacon bits were very welcome, but where was the magic of a caesar dressing?? Anyway, as a somewhat different salad, it was quite nice, albeit not large enough to warrant that price tag, so I happily ate it and put it down to experience. Other than that, a very pleasant visit
